CHALLENGE: Dear 16-year-old-me. Write a letter to yourself at age 16. What would you tell yourself? What would you make your younger self-aware of?
Dear Alisha,

I was going through pictures to remind myself of when I was you. As I went through the pictures I realized that you really allowed psoriasis to rule your life.
I seen a prom picture of you with a long sleeve jacket on, I know that was just you trying to cover up your psoriasis…
There will be challenges ahead, but remember, God will never put more on you than you can bare.
Trust me when I say, everything you are going through now is only a piece of a bigger picture. It gets better.
I just wanted to let you know that life is so much more than your psoriasis, this is only one aspect of who you are.
Just to let you know, you will find a man who loves you despite your condition… Don’t worry about these immature boys you’ve run into lately, God is only weeding out the runts from the real men!
Don’t use your psoriasis as a crutch, use it to help other people! The sooner you break out your shell, the sooner you’ll start to fulfill your purpose.
Sincerely,
A reformed me
